About me
Hi, I'm Alex. I'm a marketer with an itch to build. For most of my career, I've worked at the intersection of data and psychology, figuring out what compels someone to act. I came to marketing via finance and analytics, which is probably why I always gravitate to the data and logic in things to open exploration and creativity.
Right now I lead growth at Clerk, where I get to drive everything from content strategy and AEO/SEO to partnerships and paid acquisition. I'll write about Clerk when it's relevant, and I'll always be upfront about it.
I lean heavily on data, logic, and increasingly AI tooling. I use AI openly as a thinking partner, writing accelerator, and coding co-pilot. This site itself was built with help from Claude. I believe the best marketers in the next decade will be the ones who learn to build, and that's exactly what I'm doing here. I write about what I'm learning because I love sharing knowledge and learning from others in return.
I hope you find even just a morsel of insight in what I share and experiment in your own way.

Six years of learning to find signal in noise at enterprise scale. Started as a senior analyst running causal A/B/n testing, evolved into building data strategy and audience modeling at the product level. This is where I learned to think in systems, not campaigns.

Where it started. Finance and accounting background gave me the foundation — P&Ls, forecasting, budgets. Moved into analytics and discovered I liked asking “why” more than reporting “what.” Built the analytical instincts I still rely on.
